Wall’s new ‘Melting Coupons’ campaign is pioneering digital couponing for Unilever globally.
The 19th July was National Ice Cream Day in the UK and Wall’s used this delicious occasion as a springboard to launch the campaign.
The ad drives through to Facebook Messenger where there is a Unilever chatbot that serves the digital coupon. The voucher has a built-in countdown timer and store locator so consumers can find their nearest Co-op and redeem their voucher before it ‘melts’.

Bring to life the Wall’s Goodbye Serious Campaign tone of voice and creative in a rather functional asset. We pitched four talking ice cream scenarios and the pitch was described by IC & Snacking Digital Operations leader, Georgina Frances, as one of the best creative pitches she had experienced. Although settling with a functional sales message, we peppered creative throughout, making a somewhat dry CTA and asset, delightful at every moment we could.

Without any budget to build a 3D Twister for melting animations, I had to find an alternative way.
After several trials and errors of trying to melt a Twister in a better way, including locking myself in the room with the dehumidifier & hair dryer in one of the hottest day in 2020, the final result was achieved by using a torch.
